২০২০ সালের ৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি অস্ত্র মামলায় শামীম ও তাঁর সাত দেহরক্ষীর বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ গঠন করেন আদালত। ২০১৯ সালের ২৭ অক্টোবর শামীমসহ তাঁর সাত দেহরক্ষীর বিরুদ্ধে আদালতে অভিযোগপত্র জমা দেয় র্যাব। ২০২০ সালের ২ জানুয়ারি অভিযোগপত্র আমলে নেন আদালত।
